Scottsdale, AZWe spent a cinematic evening set in the middle of the Arizona desert, encircled by towering Saguaro cacti. Emmily of the Gatherist gave us the freedom to run with our idea of translating “a sheet of silk thrown into the air” into flowers suspended in the open air cabanas. The shadows were beautifully captured dancing on the table from the overhead tsunami palms that twisted between strands of flowers. We worked with local ceramicist, Trevor Ewald, for the perfect footed bowl vase accented by carved stone ikebana arrangements. Everything was kept within a neutral palette to feel at home in the natural sandstone surroundings.
